นอกจากสถานะช่างภาพแล้ว Yuliy ยังเป็นผู้ก่อตั้งและประธานของ Photoclub BGArt กลุ่มที่รวบรวมช่างภาพชาวบัลแกเรีย ที่ชนะในรายการ FIAP’s World Cup for clubs เมื่อปี 2018

สำหรับภาพถ่ายหลายๆ โปรเจคของ Vasilev มักเกี่ยวข้องกับอาหารและรวมไปถึง "THE (p)LAST(ic) SUPPER" ที่สร้างสรรค์จากพลาสติก
